If you’re a nature lover and Kota Kinabalu isn’t on your shortlist, you might want to reevaluate! The jungle getaway is one of the most biodiverse regions in Asia. On a one-hour nature hike at Gaya Island Resort, I saw a mix of prehistoric trees, spiky lizards and even a baby scorpion!
